Screenings at Film Fest Tucson 2019 will take place in the historic Scottish Rite, located at 160 South Scott Avenue, The Fox Tucson Theatre at 17 West Congress, the AC Hotel by Marriott Tucson Downtown at 151 E. Broadway and on our outdoor screen on the North lawn of the Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S. 6th Ave.
Scottish Rite
160 S. Scott Ave. The 15,000 square foot Scottish Rite building was built in 1915-1916 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It features three different lodge rooms—some with 35-foot ceilings—that have been transformed into state-of-the-art screening rooms for digital projection of Film Fest Tucson films. While the property continues to be utilized by the Masonic order of Southern Arizona, it has also rapidly become one of the most popular event facilities in Tucson due to its character, location and historical significance. There are three screening rooms in this venue: The Red Room (200 seats), The Purple Room (150 seats) and The Blue Room (120 seats.) Scroll for images of this venue.
Fox Tucson Theatre
17 W. Congress The 1929 Southwestern Art Deco Fox Tucson Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was restored and reopened in 2005 after being closed for 30 years. With 1,164 seats and amazing acoustics, it is the heart of downtown and a breathtaking venue for cinema. Scroll for images of this venue.
AC Marriott
151 E. Broadway Downtown’s newest hotel plays host to our Desert Pitch events, and also features two screening rooms: the Marbella (75 seats) and the Granada (40 seats). These new intimate spaces are a great place to experience a film or panel. These rooms are just off the lobby area which is a great place to grab a drink and discuss the films. Outdoor Screenings
Film Fest Tucson’s free outdoor screenings take place on our 30-foot inflatable screen. All outdoor screenings will take place on on the North lawn of the Children’s Museum Tucson at 200 S. 6th Ave. Bring a chair or a blanket and experience film under the stars with fellow cinema lovers.
